Since its founding in 1950, the ADS-Grenzfriedensbund has been a non-profit association providing social, cultural, and educational services to the people of northern Schleswig-Holstein. We currently operate 36 daycare centers, five school camps, three youth clubs, and the Haus der Familie (House of the Family) with its numerous counseling, course, and meeting services in the districts of Schleswig-Flensburg and Nordfriesland as well as the city of Flensburg. With the Grenzfriedenshefte (Border Peace Booklets), we are also actively committed to German-Danish dialogue and historical awareness in the region. We employ a total of 650 people in our facilities, who provide guidance, advice, and support in (almost) all situations. This makes us an experienced companion and pioneer for truly good social and cultural work and diversity in northern Schleswig-Holstein and the border region.
