B.E.S GmbH & Co Kg is the operator of a biogas plant that produces biogas from farm manure, catch crops, and renewable raw materials at the above-mentioned location and partially converts it into electricity there.
The waste heat generated in the process is used as process energy for the fermentation and treatment of fermentation residues.
The majority of the biogas is used to operate CHP plants for supplying heat to swimming pools and a health clinic.
In the future, the proportion of residual materials in fermentation is to be increased and links with other branches of production expanded in order to improve the overall CO2 balance.
The surface water collected on the company premises and, in the long term, the water from the fermentation residues will be recycled and used, among other things, for irrigation of a golf course and for electrolysis.
The water will be purified through algae production.
In the future, the algae could be used as feed for insects, among other things.
