Blue.Awards 2026

With the Blue.Awards 2026, Die Blaue Bioökonomie honours forward-looking research and transfer projects that contribute to the sustainable use and protection of aquatic and marine resources.

We are looking for ongoing or recently completed projects in areas such as algae cultivation, aquaculture, alternative raw materials and water-related circular economy approaches. This year, the focus is explicitly on projects.

For an application or nomination, please complete the free-text field in the registration form in full. Your nomination should include the following information: project title or project name, responsible person, a short project description, objectives and planned activities, results and achievements to date, as well as a brief explanation of why the project deserves a Blue.Award. Please also describe the relevance of the project to the blue bioeconomy in a maximum of three sentences.

In addition, please send a photo of the responsible person in 4:3 format as well as the project or company logo by email to info@bams.uni-kiel.de.

Application and nomination deadline: 25 October 2026

The nominated projects will be voted on during the general assembly at the end of October.
