Future Fish – technological Q&A at BLUU in Hamburg

On Friday 17 April 2026, up to 25 people from all academic departments, as well as members of the public, are invited to take part in an exclusive discussion session with Communications Manager Dr Cornelius Lahme at BLUU GmbH.

Lab-grown cells could revolutionise our world – however, their consumption is not yet permitted in the EU. For this reason, there will be no tasting session on this occasion. Furthermore, for hygiene reasons, the laboratories cannot be visited.

Dr Cornelius Lahme will answer all our questions regarding the technology, the start-up’s history, the hurdles it has overcome and those still to be overcome, planned future areas of application, lobbying, ethics and future prospects during a meeting lasting approximately 1½ hours at the company’s headquarters in Hamburg. The visit is aimed equally at interested parties from the fields of research, politics, industry, academia and consumers of all kinds.
