B.E.S GmbH & Co Kg is the operator of a biogas plant that generates energy from farm manure, catch crops, and renewable raw materials, partly including electricity generation.
The waste heat produced is used for fermentation and processing of fermentation residues.
Most of the biogas is used to operate combined heat and power plants to supply heat to swimming pools and a health clinic.
In the future, the proportion of residual materials in fermentation is to be increased and links with other branches of production are to be expanded in order to significantly improve the CO² balance.
All surface water from the company premises, and in future also the water from the final fermentation residue, is to be recycled and used, among other things, as irrigation water for a golf course and for electrolysis.
The water is to be purified by algae production (microalgae treatment plant).
The algae produced in this way could in turn be used as insect feed.
