The Federal Association of Aquaculture (Bundesverband Aquakultur e.V.), based in Kiel, is an interest group representing companies based in Germany that are active in the field of aquaculture. This group includes all individuals and companies that provide input for aquaculture as well as those that produce, use, or market products. The term “aquaculture” as defined in our statutes covers all water-based systems used for the production of organisms in aquatic life forms. The association is particularly committed to innovative, competitive products, sustainable production, and successful marketing. Its goal is to strengthen the importance of aquaculture in the public perception in order to improve the framework conditions for the entire industry. Networking with existing national and international organizations is intended to promote cooperation and exploit synergies.
