Coastal Research & Management GbR was founded in 1993 and focuses on sustainable environmental management for coastal areas. CRM established the first macroalgae farm in the Baltic Sea and has many years of experience in macroalgae cultivation and the development of process technologies for extracting active ingredients from algae and other marine organisms. CRM's work for public and private clients and its cooperation with numerous national and international research institutions reflect the breadth of its activities. These range from marine natural product research to environmental assessment and planning or support for nature conservation and compensation projects in coastal areas to the socioeconomic aspects of aquaculture.
