Dr. Peter Krost

Coastal Research and Management (CRM)

Dr. Peter Krost is the initiator and project manager of AQUATOR. During his postdoctoral studies in the Red Sea (Eilat, Israel), the marine biologist with a PhD already focused on the effects of fish aquaculture on the seabed. Peter Krost is co-founder of CRM and oceanBASIS, and heads the departments of Marine Ecology and Aquaculture Research. In addition to the development of extractive aquaculture and IMTA in the Baltic Sea region, the restoration of biotopes and their interconnection is a focal point of his work. Since 2013, Peter Krost has been a lecturer in aquaculture at the University Center in Isafjördur, Iceland.
