GICON®-Großmann Ingenieur Consult (GICON®-Consult) is an interdisciplinary engineering service provider (engineering and consulting) founded in Dresden in 1994. One focus of its activities is the research and development of new, sustainable technologies for international markets.
In recent years, GICON®-Consult has made a name for itself in the field of bioprocess engineering developments for microalgae cultivation on an industrial scale and has brought a novel photobioreactor to practical maturity. To further develop the GICON® photobioreactor, the company operates research facilities at the University of Applied Sciences in Köthen and in Cottbus.
The company is part of the GICON® Group, an association of independently operating engineering and consulting service providers. Together, the companies employ approximately 500 people. The group has branches throughout Germany and additional offices in Europe, Asia, and America.
