Study trip to ITA Aachen

Study trip to ITA Aachen

The members of the BaMS innovation space were invited by the coordinators of the BioTexFuture innovation space to visit the Institute of Textile Technology at RWTH Aachen University.

The aim of this one-day study trip is to learn about the various research and technology approaches in textile and polymer research and to develop suitable project ideas. The focus will be on

1. the use of innovative textile materials for the cultivation of mussels and algae and

2. the material recycling of algae and other aquatic biomass into functional textiles.

Other topics and areas of interest can be added to the agenda upon request.

This trip is of particular interest to all companies, research groups, and founders who, for example, are planning to develop an algae-based textile or want to initiate a cooperation project with partners from the textile industry. Please forward this invitation to anyone in your network who may be interested. Participation in the study trip is limited to BaMS members. If you are not yet a BaMS member, you can quickly become one (see below). Representatives from the two other innovation spaces will also be participating in the study trip, providing even more opportunities for cross-networking.
